Greg Moriarty’s role with Turnbull ‘will be widely welcomed’
Master of Strategic Studies alumni Greg Moriarty has been appointed Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull personal foreign affairs adviser.
Malcolm Turnbull will appoint Counter-Terrorism Co-ordinator Greg Moriarty as his personal foreign affairs adviser to replace Frances Adamson, who has become head of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The deputy director-general of ASIO, Tony Sheehan, will replace Mr Moriarty as Counter-Terrorism Co-ordinator on an interim basis.
Mr Moriarty will be appointed shortly so he can accompany the Prime Minister to the summit season, which begins at the weekend in China.
